The SpeediCath Compact is designed specifically for a woman’s shorter urethra. The smaller size makes it more discreet and easier to transport. The smaller box size also reduces the amount of space needed to stock inventory.
The wider non-coated handle makes for easier grip control for those users with less hand dexterity. The hydrophilic coating on the Compact Female is the same as on our current SpeediCath products and offers the same documented benefits in respect to the incidence of symptomatic urinary tract infection (UTI). In a randomized, comparative clinical trial, significantly fewer patients using the SpeediCath ready-to-use hydrophilic-coated catheter experienced UTIs compared with those using uncoated PVC catheters1. Additionally, all SpeediCath intermittent catheters now come with polished eyelets for even greater comfort.
